All of our products, from the smallest PR hooks to the most sought-after top-of-the-range poles, are rigorously field-tested. We do not launch anything on to the market until we are totally and utterly satisfied that it will not let you down. Innovation and improvement are at the core of everything we do. We know that it is impossible to reinvent the wheel on a daily basis, but we are constantly striving to take ideas and improve on them.
As an example of the way we think, take our award-winning Stotz. These are a hybrid design, a cross between a shot and a styl weight. We have learned that when fishing with thick line on commercials, shot have a habit of pinging off when you hook hard-fighting carp. We wanted to find a solution and Stotz are the answer – just ask the thousands of anglers now using them.
Another better solution that we are justifiably proud of is our fixed angle keepnet adjuster. Okay, this is not a new idea, but we know that people vote with their hard-earned money. Judging by the number of nets we have sold it is obvious that we got it right and we now put Fixangle adjustment on all of our nets.
There are other key examples of our innovative mindset such as Off Box. There was a time when square seatbox legs could not rotate accessories such as sidetrays, baitwaiters and pole tulips around the legs. We have now improved Off-Box, so that it really is ‘One Solution’, with its slimmer knuckle allowing it to fit all makes of seatbox thanks to the changable inserts.
Then there is the new Preston Pulla Kit, which is an improvement on existing elastic control systems for taming carp quickly in match fishing scenarios. This dedicated Pulla Kit system fits all Genis poles and incorporates a specifically designed sidewall bush. This enables you to unship at your top kit section, grab the elastic at its base, and tighten it. The benefit is that you can draw the fish towards you and net them quicker, with less sections of pole waving around above you head.
For anglers who use other makes of pole, there is a universal Pulla Bung system which will fit all poles. Other great products for 2007 include our new PR36 hooks. These have an out-turned eye, meaning better hair-rig presentation and we are sure everybody will use them this year.
